Poppy Passion and Intriguing Plum Blush
Estee Lauder is on a serious roll with me. Be it highlighters, eye shadows, foundation, or blush they can do no wrong. These huge blushes (.24 oz’s each) are kind of amazing. I purchased them a while ago from the Estee Lauder website and I’m finally coming back to tell you what I think. They are fantastic!
It’s been a few months and I’ve been using them a few times a week. I took the pictures above way back when I got them and they of course look different now because I’m going nuts on em! I love Poppy Passion best because it’s just the right happy shade of almost coral-like pink. Odd huh? I swear when I swatch this it looks coral but in the pan it looks pink to me. Strange but good!
Intriguing Plum is deeper and reminds me of Mac Raizin blush with purple in it. It’s not a scary overpowering purple blush its just right. I’m so happy with how wearable it is. At $28 each I’m glad these blushes are wearable, pigmented, and come in so many colors. There are 16 on the Estee Lauder site so check out which one you may want to invest in at the counter and swatch away like I did. It’s fun! I think I’m just going to stick with these shades since I have quite a bit of blush in my stash.

These shades last all day on my cheeks and did I mention how big they are? I’ll be using these forever! Check them out, I think you’ll find one you MUST have!

I had a feeling I would be in love with this. I really love Lorac shadows. They do shimmery/glitter eyeshadow right! Unlike some of my favorite brands (Urban Decay this means you!) I never get shafted with shadows that are pretty to look at but have a ton of fallout and staying power issues. I like getting a palette with a ton of possibilities and this is it!
Please excuse my fingerprints in two shadows below. I showed this palette in a YouTube video and swatched two shades.
This in my opinion is what I wanted the UD Naked Palette to be. I like a good mix of shimmery shades and mattes. I have some issues with a few colors in the Naked Palette because I can’t use them because they take a little work (babying) to look good on me. It’s just a few shadows but still it’s kind of annoying. All these shades WORK. I don’t have fallout and they go on buttery smooth. The other thing thats great about this palette is that it includes a sample of one of my favorite eye primers, Behind the Scenes. I got a sample of BTS eye primer a while ago in another set and I’ve been using it and raving ever since. It’s one of my top two eye primers.
I took some quick swatches. Excuse my swatching hand, its cut. Someone inboxed me yesterday and said why don’t you use your other hand? I gotta tell you my other hand is not as evenly brown (lol) and has a scar from a very crazy playground accident. A boy fell on me during kickball and my hand got dragged through the gravel under his bootie so I still have scars. File that under useless facts…

I got this palette at Ulta for $40. It’s expensive but so worth it! The matte shades in this palette are amazing. The shimmery shades too. I think this is the perfect Summer palette. Check it out before its gone.

You’ve got to be thinking already?? Crystal you just showed us some posts the other day! I know… I just have seen some great posts and I want you to check them out if you like that sort of thing.
I’m so happy today because I went to the dentist yesterday for my last root canal appointment and I got out of there without facing a drill (thank you JESUS) which was a surprise. I feel like I got really lucky but I don’t know how much insurance is going to pay for my screwed up (partially rotten, i kid it wasn’t really rotten) canine vampire tooth. I’m sure I’ll pass out when the bill comes.
Anyway here are some posts I love! Check em out!

I love Sleek Makeup. But I hate ordering Sleek Makeup. Ha! I must give them credit though they make droll worthy products and if it costs $10 or $15 for shipping so be it. I saw the Primer Palette months ago and wanted it so bad. Then the Blush By 3 palettes came out and I knew I’d be ordering soon!
Here they are fresh out of my mailbox. I’ll do swatches and reviews later.
I know I’m going to love the blushes. I am crazy about individual Sleek blushes and posted about them before (check that post out here) in a rave review. So getting these Blush By 3 sets ($15.99 each) was a given. There are a few more color options but I thought Flame and Pink Sprint would be the best to start with. The Primer Palette ($10.50) is going to be fun to test out. Its something to use before applying eyeshadow for a deeper long lasting color. I can’t wait to try it out.
Check out Sleek’s website if you are in the market for some blush or their Contour Kit because I can recommend both.
Oh I have to tell you I’m a little angry with what went down last week with the latest eyeshadow palettes from Sleek. They have two new beautiful matte shadow palettes (V1 and V2) and when I went online to order them last week I saw a message at the bottom of the page and apparently due to FDA regulations the palettes can’t be sold in the U.S. I am crushed. I thought about going the Ebay route but what if my eyelids fall off or something? Just kidding but I guess I’ll pass.
